So You Want to Farm?

Sunday 9/26/21, 12:30pm-4:30pm

Aurora Farms, 652 No. 2 Schoolhouse Rd, 98250

This workshop is for those interested in the basics of permaculture, organic gardening and beginning farming, and to better understand regenerative agriculture, holistic pasture and livestock management. Our island is a very special place of increasingly new ways of weather, climate/micro climates, and resources that need to be paid attention to with contingency plans enabled. We have a long history of successful agriculture here, an interdependent community, and an abundant field of possibility. Our world has taken a grand change in the past few years, more folks want to be more self-sufficient, and want to reconnect in a deeper and more meaningful way with nature and their neighbors. Many new folks have just moved here, and it's an opportunity to learn, grow, exchange, and learn how to make that garden and orchard successful, those chickens happy, why first-source nutrition is the way, and how to balance with nature. We look forward to you joining us.

Workshop is facilitated by Aurora Farms owner farmer/rancher Lori Ann David and team. Lots of resource information to go home with. Come with your enthusiasm, questions and your dreams. We can help make those come true.
